It began when Melissa and John made a sign they held in the cafeteria at a youth gathering. A few other kids had made signs that read “Free hugs.” Melissa and John’s said, “Free conversations about anything.” They sat well into the evening, making new friends and talking about faith and life with dozens of other youth. Thus the beginning of this idea! A talk sheet with 500 topics in order to talk about anything.
As a youth minister I was impressed that one or two words turned into a whole discussion! Who knew a word or two was all that was needed for a curriculum!
